"Government Staff" are Employees of the People

I feel that the term 'govenment staff' is often used in Malaysia.
But it is better to use the term "public servant" in place of "government staff".
The term "public servant" makes the meaning of their duty clearer.

They are the servants for Rakyat.
Rakyat pay tax and hire them so they need to serve people.
Simply they are our employees.
And we are their employers.

Of course, Ministers and MPs are also included.
Moreover we select them by election so they are more responsible for us.
They should NOT be respected simply because they are ministers or MPs.
They must be evaluated from their performance.

The concept of "public servant" is often forgot in our daily life.
However to understand this is very important for people who live in the democratic country.
We are the boss of them and we need to evaluate our employees' performance time to time...
